Ion mobility spectrometer workstations, IMS

Method can be used for detecting volatile organic compounds (VOC). It is suitable for liquids and solids, which can be easily evaporated to gaseous phase. Typical applications include detecting explosives, chemical warfare agents and toxic industrial chemicals and other pollutants. Similar type of equipment is commonly used in the airports. Another variant of the method, GC-IMS enables research for more complex mixtures.

Three different models of the equipment exist in the laboratory plus the GC-IMS equipment.
