The use of SENTERRA 200LX dispersive Raman spectrometer doesn't require any kind of preparation of the samples. It means that all kinds of samples can be studied with the spectrometer.

Raman spectrometer is combined with a high-quality optical microscope (Olympus BX61), which enables both optical and molecular analysis with the same equipment.

Depth profiling is possible with a confocal microscopy and a motorized sample stage, even with a resolution of 2 micrometers. Also area mapping ("imaging") is possible with the sample stage.

The equipment includes two lasers (785 nm ja 532 nm) which enhances versatility of the equipment for analyzing different kinds of samples.

Analyses of large samples and fluids or even in vivo measurements are possible via fiber optic measurement system (785 nm).

Automatic fluorescence removal -software (AFR) enhances spectral resolution and versatility.

Resolution: spectral resolution up to 3 cm-1 and spatial resolution is even less than 1 mm.

Max sample size: about 40 x 40 x 20 cm (fiber optic), 10 x 10 x 3 cm (microscope)
